Rashmika Mandanna Injured During Gym Session, Sikandar & Thama Shoot Temporarily Halted As She Takes Recovery Break
Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who will be seen next in Sikandar alongside Salman Khan, recently sustained a gym injury. The Pushpa 2 star has been advised to take a brief recovery break, leading to a temporary pause in the production of Sikandar, Thama, and other projects. She is recovering well and is expected to resume work soon.

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who will be seen next in the much-anticipated film Sikandar alongside Salman Khan, sustained an injury while working out in the gym. She was reportedly gearing up to kickstart the filming for the final schedule of the movie and just before she resumed, the injury happened. Additionally, she was also set to begin shooting for Thama with Ayushmann Khurrana.
A source close to Rashmika stated that she has been advised to take a short break to recover. "Rashmika recently sustained an injury in the gym and has been recovering well by resting it. However, this has caused a temporary halt to the filming of her upcoming projects. Nevertheless, she’s already feeling much better and will resume work on sets very soon," said the source.
Earlier, a report in Mid-Day stated that Salman and Rashmika would be shooting the last schedule of Sikandar in Mumbai.
A few days ago, on December 28th, a day after Salman's 59th birthday, the teaser of Sikandar was unveiled. Sharing the teaser, the actor wrote, "Thank u all for your birthday wishes.. much appreciated. Hope you like the teaser of Sikandar…."
Sikandar also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Anant Mahadevan, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Nawab Shah, and Anjini Dhawan. Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar is set to release on Eid 2025.
