Actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani is all set to make her acting comeback after a gap of more than a decade. She will be seen in the show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi season 2. The first look of the show was released a few days ago, and everyone is super excited to watch Smriti as Tulsi again. However, on Tuesday, the actress revealed that while she is making a comeback to acting, this won't be a sabbatical from politics.

An X user tweeted, "Dear @smritiirani all the best on your return to TV. Hope this is just a brief sabbatical from politics (sic)." Smriti replied to the netizen and wrote, "No sabbatical . Have worked both in media and politics for 25 years with only a decadal break due to my responsibility as Cabinet Minister. Never compromised on my sangathan responsibilities, never will (sic)."

Another netizen tweeted, "Will all due respect for your decision to return back to the media. Me and like me thousands of your admirers will wish your active presence in politics too. Specifically when the Bengal and UP election is around the corner. PS - My mother was super happy when she heard this news (sic)."

Replying to this X user, Irani wrote, "My Pranaam to your Ma … be assured of my active political contribution during the forthcoming elections as assigned by sangathan (sic)."

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 Release Date

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi season 2 is all set to start airing on Star Plus from July 29, 2025. The show will be aired on its original time 10:30 pm. It is expected that Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 will rule the TRP charts.

Apart from Smriti, even Amar Upadhyay will return to the show as Mihir Virani.
