Ibrahim Ali Khan's Diler Shoot With Sreeleela Postponed After Saif Ali Khan's Attack: Report

Actor Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan is all set to star opposite Sreeleela in Diler. He was reportedly shooting for the film, however, the shoot has been put on hold after horrifying attack on Saif. For those unversed, Saif was injured after a robber broke into his Bandra residence on Thursday (January 16) while the family was asleep. The actor was rushed to the hospital with six injuries.

A source close to the development informed India Today, "Shooting of Maddock’s Diler was on. It has been put on hold after the attack on Saif. Sreelala is also in the film. It is being directed by Kunal Deshmukh."

The report further stated that Ibrahim wants to be at his father's side till he is discharged from the hospital and until he fully recovers.

Ibrahim and Sara Ali Khan have been frequently visiting Saif at Bandra's Lilavati hospital. Other family members, including Kareena Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Karisma Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor were also seen outside the hospital.

Meanwhile, Saif has a packed 2025 with multiple releases and shooting schedules lined up. According to a report in Mid-Day, the actor has wrapped up the shooting of his movie Jewel Thief which is slated to release on March 27, 2025. Only dubbing work of two days is left. So, reportedly, the team will kickstart the promotions of the movie from mid-March.

Saif also has an OTT release lined up titled Kartavya, and a source told the tabloid that the promotions of the movie will start after May.

Attack on Saif Ali Khan

The attacker who entered Saif's house around 2:30 am on Thursday first tried to attack the actor's house help. When the actor intervened, the intruder attacked Saif and even stabbed him, and the actor was rushed to the hospital with six injuries.

A piece of knife was surgically removed from his back and he has been advised bed rest for a week. He will be discharged from the Lilavati Hospital by this weekend.
