Complaint Filed Against Allu Arjun In Hyderabad For Calling His Fans 'Army' At Pushpa Event

Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rule is set to release on December 5, 2024. The cast is currently touring various cities to promote their upcoming movie. Recently, at a promotional event in Kochi, the actor expressed gratitude towards his fans and referred to them as his 'army.' However, a complaint has been filed in Hyderabad against him for using the word 'army' in reference to his fans.

The complaint was filed at the Jawahar Nagar Police Station in Hyderabad by Srinivas, president of the Green Peace Environment and Water Harvesting Foundation.

In the video posted by a publication, he shared, "We have filed a complaint against Tollywood star Allu Arjun requesting him not to use the word army for his fan base. Army is an honourable post; they’re the ones who protect our country, so you can’t call your fans that. There are many other terms he could use instead."

The complaint reads, "It is highly objectionable that the actor his named his fan club after the honorable army that lays down its lives in the service of the nation."

Allu Arjun, who is fondly referred as Mallu Arjun in Kerala, he said, "You know, why do I call my fans an army? It is because of the Kerala fans. You started this trend and I got inspired from you and it has become such a phenomenon today. So, thank you for giving me that."

Pushpa 2 also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj, among others.
