Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 3: Vicky Kaushal Registers Biggest Opening Weekend Of His Career With ₹116 Crore

Actor Vicky Kaushal has all the reasons to rejoice as his much-hyped film Chhaava has passed the first weekend test with flying colours. The actor registered the biggest first weekend collection of his career as Chhaava has earned a total of Rs 116 crore at the box office so far. The film earned a whopping Rs 48.50 crore on Sunday.

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has all the reasons to rejoice as his much-hyped film Chhaava has passed the first weekend test with flying colours. The actor registered the biggest first weekend collection of his career as Chhaava has earned a total of Rs 116 crore at the box office so far.

Chhaava, which released in cinemas on February 14, crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within just three days. The film opened with a staggering Rs 31 crore a the box office, and from there on, the numbers have only gone up. On its second day, Chhaava minted Rs 37 crore, and it saw a massive jump on its third day.

On Sunday, Chhaava earned Rs 48.50 crore, thus ending the weekend run with a whopping Rs 116.50 crore in the producers' kitty.

With this, Chhaava also surpassed the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar's recently-released film, Sky Force, which earned a total of Rs 112.07 crore in its entire box office run.

Chhaava is the tale of the Maratha warrior king, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and his fight against Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb to safeguard swarajya.

On Sunday, Vicky penned a thank you note for all the love that is being showered on his film Chhaava. "Dil bhar aaya hai aap sabka pyaar dekhkar...Thank you so much!", he wrote on Instagram.

"All your messages, calls… all the videos you all are sharing of your experience of watching CHHAAVA… I’m seeing it all… taking it all in. Thank you for all your love… Grateful to each and every one of you for celebrating the glory of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (sic)," he had earlier mentioned.

The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai Bhosale, and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb. It has been directed by Mimi director Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan.
