Prabhas, Deepika Padukone's Project K put on hold amid Amitabh Bachchan's rib injury: Report

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently injured himself on the sets of his upcoming film Project K. The megastar is recovering from the rib injury and he has been sharing his health updates on social media.

According to several media reports, the makers of Project K have shared an important update about the film amid Big B's injury.

Project K put on hold?

Reportedly, the film, also starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani among others, has been put on hold and suspended for the time being.

Director Nag Aswin told ETimes that Amitabh Bachchan will join them in the next schedule.

Big B shares health update

On March 26, Big B shared his health update. Taking to his blog, the actor, who has a meet-and-greet with his fans outside his home on Sundays, mentioned that he is recovering.

He wrote, "The injuries heal slowly and today hope the effort is enough to climb the board and wave to the well wishers at the GATE... being away from them that have such sincerity with them is not approved in any manner... the life and the breath of the well-wisher is supreme... they live so I live."

For those unversed, the 80-year-old sustained injuries to his ribs while shooting for an action sequence in Hyderabad.

A few days back, he revealed that he was experiencing extreme pain and that doctors were called in at night to take a look at him. He said he was experiencing pain in his toe and hand as well.

He also informed that medicines were injected and that the wound has been dressed until the next day.

Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming projects

Big B was last seen in the film Uunchai with Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta and others.

Besides Project K, Bachchan also has the remake of 'The Intern' in the pipeline with Deepika. A few days ago, the megastar also announced his new film with Ribhu Dasgupta, titled 'Section 84'.
