Pathaan Box Office Collection Day 7: Shah Rukh Khan's spy-actioner mints ₹315 crore in first week

At the worldwide box office, the SRK-starrer has grossed about Rs 640 crore

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham's blockbuster release 'Pathaan', has shattered almost every record in the book in its first week itself.

The film, which released on January 25, successfully completed its first week on Tuesday and it was no less than a dream run for the spy-thriller.

As per Box Office India, 'Pathaan' earned a whopping Rs 315 crore in its first week in India alone, and it now holds the tag of being the top first week grosser in the country of all times.

Pathaan beats KGF: Chapter 2

On Tuesday, 'Pathaan' earned around Rs 21 crore in India, 15 per cent lesser than the day before.

The record of being the biggest first week grosser was held by the pan-India film 'KGF: Chapter 2' so far. And 'Pathaan' has now easily surpassed it and how!

'KGF: Chapter 2' had collected Rs 250 crore by the end of its first week, and 'Pathaan' has now minted Rs 315 crore in the first 7 days, a whopping Rs 65 crore more than the previous record holder.

At the worldwide box office, the SRK-starrer has grossed about Rs 640 crore, and the numbers are only expected to keep rising by leaps and bounds.

Pathaan's dream run in theatres

Shah Rukh's action-entertainer has caused a tsunami at the box office. Deepika was recently seen getting emotional during a press conference given the tremendous amount of love that the film has been receiving.

Apart from setting records at the ticket windows, the film has also presented theatre owners and fans with special moments as it got screened at the world's highest altitude movie theatre in snow-clad Leh, Ladakh, and also rendered a theatre in Kashmir housefull after 32 years.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, 'Pathaan' also boasts of an extended cameo by none other than superstar Salman Khan, and key roles by Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana.
