Bollywood actress Shenaz Treasury, who rose to fame with the 2003 Bollywood film "Ishq Vishk" has been diagnosed with prosopagnosia. Taking to her Instagram stories, the 41-year-old revealed she has trouble remembering people’s faces.

Shenaz wrote, “I have been diagnosed with prosopagnosia 2. Now, I understand why I've never been able to put faces together. It's a cognitive disorder. I always felt ashamed that I can't recognise faces. I recognise voices.”

Sharing her symptoms, she further explained, "Takes me a minute to register who the person is - sometimes even a close friend I haven't seen in a while. I thought I was just dumb. Went through my whole life wondering why I can't recognise anyone - Now I realise I have this cognitive disorder. So now please understand that this is a real disorder and not me being aloof or snobbish. This is a real brain issue. Please be kind and understand.”

Meanwhile, Shenaz, after working for MTV's Most Wanted, she made her acting debut with Telugu film Eduruleni Manishi in 2001, followed by the 2003 Bollywood film "Ishq Vishk" alongside Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao.

She further went on to work in films such as "Aagey Se Right", "Delhi Belly", "Munna Michael", and "Kaalakaandi" to name a few.
