The Good Shepherd College in Bengaluru sent out a statement to all its students, which read, "Lights, Camera, Holiday! When passion and fandom unite, history is made! Our beloved MD, a devoted fan of Lalettan, has orchestrated a special screening of Empuraan to honor the brilliance of Mohanlal and the visionary direction of Prithviraj Sukumaran. This is more than just a film — it’s a phenomenon."
The statement mentioned how the decision was taken in lieu of the chairman's love for Mohanlal.
The circular also informed that the management has booked the 7 am show for all the students at Movietime Cinemas, YGR Mall, Rajarajeshwari Nagar.
L2: Empuraan has been directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, and it stars Mohanlal in the lead. It is a prequel of the 2019 film, Lucifer, which had shattered all records at the box office upon its release.
Besides Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas and Indrajith Sukumaran will also be seen reprising their roles from Lucifer in Empuraan.
Empuraan has already been declared a hit by trade analysts as the film has grossed Rs 12.85 crore through advanced bookings alone. According to the makers, Lucifer and Empuraan are part of a trilogy and the details of the third and final installment of the trilogy has been kept under wraps.
