Telugu actor Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday (December 13) in connection with the stampede that occurred at Sandhya Theatre on December 4 during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule. He was taken to the hospital for the medical test and will later be taken to the court.
Amid his arrest, a letter has emerged showing Sandhya Theatre seeking police bandobast on December 4, citing clearly that the actors of Pushpa 2 will be present for the film screening with fans, which could lead to heavy crowding.
A picture of the letter, with the stamp and signature of the assistant commissioner of police, has been shared widely by the actor's fans.
"We request you to arrange to provide Police Bandobust at SANDHYA 70 MM RTC X Roads, Hyderabad, in connection with release of PUSHPA 04-12-2024 because there will be heavy fans crowd. The Hero, Heroine and VIPs and Production unit of the film are coming to see the movie," the letter read.

Allu Arjun spoke to his counsel to request the High Court for urgent hearing. Earlier, Allu Arjun had approached the HC seeking to quash FIR registered against him.
The Hyderabad police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team and Sandhya theatre management under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), based on a complaint lodged by the deceased woman’s family.
According to reports, the stampede resulted from poor crowd management and a lack of safety measures at the venue, leading to chaos.
