TNTET 2025 Registration: Important date

• Notification Release: 11 August 2025

• Application Period: 11 August to 8 September 2025

• Application Correction Window: 9 to 11 September 2025

TNTET 2025 Registration: Eligibility criteria

For Paper I (Classes I–V)

• Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

• Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

• Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

• Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

For Paper II (Classes VI–VIII)

• Graduation and passed/appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

• Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).

• Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms).

• Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in a 4-year B.El.Ed..

• Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.

• Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).

• Candidates with a B.Ed. degree approved by the NCTE are eligible.

• Those enrolled in NCTE/RCI-approved teacher education programmes listed in the NCTE Notification dated August 23, 2010 are eligible.

Age Criteria

• Minimum age: 18 years as on 01.07.2025.

• No upper age limit.

TNTET 2025 Registration: Application fees

• General candidates: ₹600 per application.

• SC, SCA, ST, and differently abled candidates: ₹300 per application.

• Fee payment only via online mode through Payment Gateway (Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card).

TNTET 2025 Registration: Steps to apply

Step 1: Go to trb.tn.gov.in, the official website of TRB TN.

Step 2: On the home page, click the link to apply online.

Step 3: Candidates must submit their registration information on a new page that opens.

Step 4: Log in to the page after completing the registration process.

Step 5: Complete the application and pay the required amount.

Step 6: To download the site, click the submit button.

Step 7: Save a paper copy of it in case you need it later.

TNTET 2025 Registration: Selection process

• Selection is based on a written examination.

• The exam will have 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

• Duration: 3 hours.
