IIM Bangalore Ranks 2nd In Asia-Pacific In Bloomberg Businessweek 2026–27 Rankings; Stanford Leads US
IIM Bangalore’s Executive Post Graduate Programme has risen to second in the Bloomberg Businessweek 2026–27 Asia-Pacific rankings, up from third. Stanford retained the top spot in the US for the eighth consecutive year.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore’s Executive Post Graduate Programme has secured the second position in the Asia-Pacific region in the Bloomberg Businessweek 2026–27 business school rankings. The programme improved from third place in the previous edition.
Shanghai University of Finance and Economics held onto the number one spot in the Asia-Pacific category, but IIM Bangalore had a total score of 72.6 points against 71.7 points in 2008.
In the United States, the Stanford Graduate School of Business maintained the number one spot for the eighth straight year.
IIM Bangalore moves up to second place in Asia-Pacific
IIM Bangalore topped the Indian programmes on the Bloomberg rankings list for the fifth consecutive year.
The Executive Post Graduate Program at the university rose from third to second place in the Asia-Pacific area. The program scored second in the region for remuneration and showed gains in learning, networking, and entrepreneurship. In the 2026–2027 cycle, the overall score rose from 71.7 in the prior year to 72.6.

Stanford retains top position in US Rankings
Stanford Graduate School of Business topped Bloomberg Businessweek's ranking of US business schools. The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School took second place, followed by Harvard Business School and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
University of Virginia's Darden School showed the most improvement in rankings among the best US business schools, having moved up from 10th place last year to fifth.
Dartmouth’s Tuck School ranked sixth, while the University of Chicago’s Booth School secured seventh place. UC Berkeley’s Haas School fell to eighth position.
Cornell’s Johnson School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School tied at ninth place. Columbia Business School dropped to rank 11th.

Bloomberg Businessweek Ranking Methodology
Bloomberg Businessweek assessed business schools across categories including compensation, learning, networking and entrepreneurship.
This year's ranking dropped the separate inclusion index category from the American rankings and adjusted the weight given to other categories.
The ranking is based on inputs provided by students, alumni, and corporate recruiters together with employment and salary statistics.
