Bihar Board Matric Scrutiny 2026: The Bihar Board of Secondary Education has released the essential information regarding the scrutiny of answer booklets for the Annual Secondary Examination, 2026, on the official social media handle. The official notification states that Students who are dissatisfied with their grades in one or more subjects can apply for the scrutiny (re-evaluation) of answers for the Matric Annual Examination 2026 from today on the official website.
Additionally, the BSEB application window for the Matric Special Examination 2026 and Matric Compartmental Examination 2026 will close on April 7, 2026.
The notification also reads that the results for the Matric Special Examination 2026 and Matric Compartmental Examination 2026 exams will be declared by May 31, 2026

Bihar Board Matric Scrutiny 2026: Steps To Apply For Scrutiny
Step 1: Visit the above websites and click on “Apply for Scrutiny (Annual Secondary Examination 2026)”.
Step 2: Enter your Roll Code, Roll Number, and Date of Birth (example: 52002–26000125–27-05-2010), create a password, and register. Keep this password safe for future use.
Step 3: Add Login Credentials such as Roll Code, Roll Number, and Password. After logging in, the scrutiny application form will appear with all your subject details.
Step 4: Select the subject(s) for which you want scrutiny by ticking the checkbox next to them.
Step 5: Click on the Fee Payment (Make Payment) button. Payment can be made via debit card, credit card, or net banking. After payment, students must check within 24 hours whether the amount has been deducted from their bank account. If the payment is not received in the board’s account, the application will be considered incomplete and rejected.
Bihar Board Matric Scrutiny 2026: Scrutiny Details
Scrutiny Will Be Done Based on the Following Points:
If marks awarded on inner pages are not correctly entered on the main page, corrections will be made.
If there is any error in the total marks, it will be corrected.
If any question or part of a question has not been evaluated, it will be assessed, and marks updated.
Marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged after scrutiny.
The notification also states that if a student has failed in up to two subjects in the Annual Secondary Examination 2026 and applies for scrutiny, they can also appear in the Compartmental Examination 2026.
If the student passes based on increased marks after scrutiny, the Annual Examination 2026 result will be considered final, not the compartmental exam result.
