Shocking Daylight Heist Caught On Cam: PNG Jewellers’ California Branch Robbed By Over 20 People; CCTV Footage Surfaces

A shocking incident occurred at El Camino Real, California where a surveillance video captured the moment where more than 20 suspects broke into a Pune-based PNG Jewellers in broad daylight on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

The CCTV footage showed that the robbery happened just before 12:30 p.m. on that day, with the thieves using hammers and tools to smash display cases and steal valuable jewellery.

In the footage, well over a dozen suspects dressed in black are seen stormed into the into PNG Jewelers, located at 791 E. El Camino Real. They used tools and hammers to break glass counters, smashing display cases and looting the store.

The footage also revealed the chaos inside PNG Jewelers, located at 791 E. El Camino Real.

According to reports, the incident happened at the Hacienda Shopping Center on E. El Camino Real around 1:30 p.m. The suspects used sledgehammers and tools to break into the jewellery store and stole valuables and quickly escaped in multiple vehicles before the police arrived.

At 1:27 p.m., the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety responded to the reported robbery at PNG Jewellers.

As per reports, the DPS said in the press release, that they located two suspect vehicles on northbound U.S. Highway 101. During the pursuit, stolen jewelelry was thrown from one vehicle, which was later abandoned near Whipple Avenue in Redwood City. Five suspects fled into an industrial area and were subsequently arrested near San Carlos.

After a similar incident at Bhindi Jewelers in Newark, this is the second robbery targeting an Indian jewellery store in the past two week.
