After OpenAI, Google has opened up about their future plans. Google CEO Sundar Pichai teased about incorporating more artificial intelligence (AI) on its platform in 2025. With AI, he aims to make Google stay ahead among other technology players.
The roadmap ahead
In the ‘future plans,’ Pichai didn’t reveal every detail. Even for that matter its not clear either we can expect new innovations or more AI updates. However, he did drop a few hints about what’s on Google’s AI roadmap for 2025 and beyond:
First we have the ‘Daily Listen in Search Labs.’ This could be a new feature that will help you to personalize podcast recommendations. These are based on your interests and are currently under development.
The second hint was about bringing a new ‘NotebookLM Plus.’ These are reportedly, set to launch for Google One subscribers early in 2025. This wil be a enhanced version of NotebookLM. The new update aims to bring you a improved AI-powered note-taking and organization features.
Lastly you have Gemini 2.0 Flash for developers. This is expected to roll out widely in January. The new update might remove the “Experimental” tag in the Gemini app. Additionally, it could also bring some advanced AI tools to developers.
Apart from these, some speculations suggest that Gemini 2.0 will soon be integrated into more Google products. This could also mean an upgraded AI Overviews in Search.
The future of AI
Till now artificial intelligence (AI) has been a gaining a steady momentum. From big tech players to startups, everyone has been going gaga over AI. We have already seen some big usage of AI. This includes ChtatGPT, using Generative AI in smartphones, and even using AI for addressing real world problems.
