Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Q1 Profit Rises 12% To ₹310 Crore, Overall Closing AUM Reaches ₹10.7 Lakh Crore

Mumbai: Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited (ABSLAMC) reported a 12 percent year-on-year increase in profit after tax to Rs 310 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
The company’s total revenue rose 11 percent from the year-ago period to Rs 630 crore in Q1 FY27. Profit before tax increased 9 percent to Rs 410 crore, according to its unaudited financial results.
AUM Growth
ABSLAMC’s overall closing assets under management (AUM), including mandates, reached Rs 10.7 lakh crore as of June 30, 2026. This was sharply higher than Rs 4.4 lakh crore recorded in June 2025.
Overall quarterly average AUM (QAAUM), including alternative assets, grew 42 percent year-on-year to Rs 6.28 lakh crore during the quarter.
The company’s mutual fund QAAUM increased 6 percent to Rs 4.28 lakh crore. Equity mutual fund QAAUM rose 10 percent to Rs 1.99 lakh crore, with equity accounting for 46.5 percent of the mutual fund portfolio.
Individual monthly average AUM stood at Rs 2.11 lakh crore in June 2026. Individual investors contributed 48.9 percent of the company’s mutual fund AUM.
Mandates Expand
PMS and AIF QAAUM, including ESIC and EPFO mandates, increased fivefold to Rs 1.95 lakh crore from Rs 28,700 crore a year earlier. Mandate QAAUM alone stood at Rs 1.90 lakh crore in Q1 FY27.
Passive QAAUM increased 14 percent year-on-year to Rs 40,000 crore as of June 30.
Assets from B-30 cities, which are locations beyond India’s 30 largest cities, stood at Rs 74,300 crore. These markets accounted for 17.3 percent of mutual fund AUM.
SIP Network
Monthly SIP contributions, including systematic transfer plans, reached Rs 1,085 crore in June. The company had 40.3 lakh contributing SIP accounts and registered about 5.47 lakh new SIPs during the quarter.
ABSLAMC serviced 1.11 crore investor folios at the end of June. Its distribution network included more than 95,500 KYD-compliant mutual fund distributors, over 360 national distributors and more than 90 banks.
The company operates through over 310 locations, with more than 80 percent situated in B-30 cities.
