Woman Forced Into Marriage Attempt, Armed Men Fire Shots; Injure Woman’s Father In MP's Shivpuri

Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A woman was forced into a marriage attempt by armed by armed men who entered her home on Saturday in Shivpuri.

The men fired around six gunshots when the family resisted, creating panic in the area.

The incident took place in Sesai Sadak village, under Kolaras police station in Shivpuri district. where

She was forced into a marriage attempt on Saturday night when a group of armed men entered her house and tried to take her away.

When her family resisted, the men opened fire, and her father was injured as a bullet grazed his finger.

According to information, the main accused, Rocky, had been harassing the woman for a long time and pressuring her to marry him. On the night of the incident, Rocky’s father Lohre, along with Jodha Sarkar and Pitu alias Gurpreet, came armed and tried to drag the woman out of her home.

As the woman’s father tried to stop them, he was shot at. Around six rounds were fired. Hearing the gunshots, villagers from the Yadav and Rawat communities rushed to the house.

The attackers fled while waving their weapons.

The woman’s family reported the incident to Kolaras police.

A case has been registered against Lohre, Jodha Sarkar, and Pitu alias Gurpreet Sardar. Police stayed at the victim’s home throughout the night for security.
