Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A thief broke into the State Bank of India (SBI) in Gwalior and stole 734 cheques from the bank's strong room on Tuesday. The entire crime was recorded on the bank’s CCTV cameras.
He broke into the branch in Bijauli and stole 734 cheques from the strong room.
In the CCTV footage, the thief can be seen masked, entering the bank, moving towards the strong room, and later leaving the premises with the stolen items.

According to information, the incident took place late at night when the bank was closed. The thief entered the bank by breaking a window and then made his way to the strong room where the cheques were kept safely.
The stolen cheques belonged to 112 different customers.
The thief managed to open the strong room and take all the cheques without setting off any alarms.
The police believe the thief planned the crime carefully in advance.
After discovering the theft, the bank staff immediately informed the police. Investigators are now checking the CCTV videos and collecting clues to catch the thief.
The bank is also contacting the affected customers and assuring them that their accounts will be protected.
This incident has raised serious concerns about the security systems at the bank, and an internal review is expected soon.
