Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A controversy has erupted after a video surfaced on social media showing a man hurling abuses at Bageshwar Dham’s chief, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Adil Hussain from Panihar village of Madhya Pradesh. He allegedly used offensive words against Dhirendra Shastri, recorded his video and posted it on Facebook on Wednesday-- the day a mass marriage programme was organised at Bageshwar Dham. President Droupadi Murmu too attended the event.

Hindu organisations have strongly condemned the incident and expressed their objections.
They are demanding strict action against the accused and have called for an FIR to be registered against him.
Authorities are yet to respond to the demands, and further developments in the case are awaited.

Meanwhile, the accused's Facebook profile has also attracted a huge attention. According to his profile, he received his education section from, the 'University of Oxford' and apparently lives in 'California city,' in United States of America. However, these details cannot be verified.
Pt. Dhirendra Shastri recently hosted President of India Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi two different events.
President Murmu arrived at Pandit Dhirendra Shastri's dham to attend a mass marriage festival of 251 couples on Wednesday.
Also, PM Modi, on Sunday, laid the foundation stone of Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
