VIDEO: Desperate Villagers Dig Up Forest Land After Rumours Of 'Hidden Precious Stones’ In MP's Narsinghpur

Narsinghpur (Madhya Pradesh): A group of desperate villagers were seen digging a forest land after rumours of hidden valuable gemstones spread in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur. A video of the incident widely circulated on social media on Tuesday.
The viral clip from the site shows villagers in large numbers unearthing the ground with their hands and tools. The crowd appears out of control, with people pushing, shoving, and trying to force their way through others to reach the stones.
There is visible chaos as some people fall while others jump in between the crowd to grab whatever they can.

The incident took place in Barheta village of Narsinghpur.
District Forest Officer (DFO) Kalpana Tiwari said that white stones were seized from the area and their testing is underway.
“The crowd became unmanageable, so police support was taken. Now, villagers are not allowed to enter the area,” she said.
Similar incident took place in MP's Burhanpur
The incident is similar to the recent case near Burhanpur’s Asirgarh Fort, where people started digging land after watching the film Chhava and hearing about gold coins being found.
