Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): In a major development in the Madhya Pradesh nursing college scam, the High Court has ordered direct removal of the current Director of Medical Education (DME) Jitendra Shukla and Registrar of the Nursing Council Anita Chand.
The decision was taken after the court observed that the officials who were allegedly involved in irregularities during the inspection of nursing colleges were later assigned to prominent positions.
Taking strong actions against the same, the court directed the dismissal of the two dignitaries from their respective posts.
According to information, the two officials had allegedly granted accreditation to ineligible nursing colleges, including the RKS College in Bhopal for the academic year 2021-22. Despite their involvement in the scam, both were posted at high-ranking positions.

HC directs to take appropriate action
In response, the government informed the court that a committee had been formed to investigate the complaints. Additionally, the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh has been ordered to ensure appropriate action is taken in this matter.
