MP: Traffic Police Collects ₹22K Fine During Checking Drive On New Year's Eve In Morena

Bhopal/Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A traffic checking drive was conducted by the city police on Tuesday evening, a day before New Year’s Eve in MP's Morena. During the drive, 27 vehicles were penalized, and fines totaling ₹22,000 were collected. Key roads and intersections were monitored, and strict action was taken against those violating traffic rules.
Special attention was given to drunk driving and reckless behavior on the roads. Underage drivers were also apprehended, and auto-rickshaw drivers carrying extra passengers were fined.
According to information, at Kotwali Square in the city, police officers inspected vehicles, including checking car drivers with breath analyzers. Compliance with seatbelt regulations and the inspection of car trunks were also part of the exercise. Several cars were fined for non-compliance.
On NH-44, police teams from Civil Line and Sarai Chhola police stations carried out inspections at hotels and dhabas. Hotel owners were warned of strict action if alcohol consumption parties were found on their premises.
Talking to press, ASP Gopal Singh stated that special vigilance is being maintained in view of New Year’s celebrations. Suspicious vehicles are being stopped and checked. Drunk drivers and those creating public nuisance will face legal action.
