Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Judicial magistrate first class and additional session judge of Seoni Malwa, Tabassum Khan, has awarded capital punishment to a 30-year-old man for raping a six-year-old girl.
According to reports, the police received a tipoff that a six-year-old girl had gone missing from her house in the Nayapura area on January 2 this year.
A team rushed to the spot and searched for the girl. The girl’s relatives told the police that they had suspected the hands of a youth, Ajay Wadiwa, a resident of Khal Kharda village in Seoni Malwa, behind the incident. The police registered a missing person complaint and began to probe the case.
Because the case was highly sensitive, superintendent of police Gurkaran Singh and sub-divisional officer of police Raju Rajak inspected the spot where the incident took place. Singh directed the officials to bring the culprit to book. Wadiwa fell into the police trap within 12 hours of the incident.
