Madhya Pradesh March 14 Weather Update: Holi To Be Hot This Year, Temperatures To Cross 37°C; Heatwave Likely In Late March
The weather department predicts that places like Khajuraho, Ratlam, Khargone, and Narmadapuram may see even higher temperatures, reaching 38-39°C.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): This year, Holi in Madhya Pradesh will be warm, with temperatures expected to rise above 37°C in cities like Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Ujjain.
The weather department predicts that places like Khajuraho, Ratlam, Khargone, and Narmadapuram may see even higher temperatures, reaching 38-39°C.
Storms And Rain In Morena
On Thursday night, sudden weather changes hit Morena. Strong winds, rain, and hailstorms caused damage. In Ambah, temporary shops at the Jayeshwar Mela were blown away, injuring over 12 people. Some mud houses also collapsed.
Around 25 injured people, including women and children, were taken to Ambah Hospital. Due to a power cut, doctors treated the injured using mobile flashlights. The seriously injured were shifted to the district hospital.
This year, Holi falls on March 14. Usually, March's second half brings hotter days, but due to southwest winds, the heat has arrived early. Over the last 10 years, Holi has fallen in the second half of March five times.
In 2021, Holi was on March 29, and Bhopal recorded a temperature of 41°C. This year, the temperature is expected to be around 38°C.
Weather Forecast
March 10-20: Minimum temperatures in Indore and nearby areas will be 20-23°C, while other regions will see 19-21°C. Daytime temperatures will be 34-38°C.
After March 20: Minimum temperatures in Rewa and Shahdol will be 22-24°C, while in Bhopal and other cities, they will rise to 23-26°C. Daytime temperatures in Jabalpur will be 37-40°C, while the rest of the state may see 38-42°C.
Rain Possibility: Due to western disturbances and southeastern winds, some eastern and southern parts of the state may see cloudy weather and light rain.
Towards the end of March, heatwave conditions may hit Gwalior, Chambal, Indore, Ujjain, Sagar, and Rewa regions, as well as Rajgarh, Sehore, Vidisha, Betul, and Harda districts.
The weather department predicts extreme heat in April and May. Cities in Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol, and Sagar regions may see temperatures crossing 45°C. Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Narmadapuram will also experience high temperatures.
