Madhya Pradesh June 29 Weather Update: Heavy Rain To Soak Over 30 Districts; Very Heavy Showers Likely From July 1

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh is likely to see heavy rain in the next few days.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rain is expected today (Sunday) in 11 districts of the state, including Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Satna, Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Anuppur, Mandla, and Balaghat. These areas may receive up to 4.5 inches of rain in 24 hours.
Yellow alerts have also been issued for other districts like Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Jabalpur.
The IMD has issued orange alerts for very heavy rain in 6 districts on July 1 and 5 districts on July 2, and yellow alerts for heavy rain in over 25 districts on both days.

Heavy rain alert in Gwalior, Bhind, Datia, Shivpuri, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Satna, Panna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Anuppur, Mandla, Seoni, and Balaghat. Up to 4.5 inches of rain expected. Yellow alert for Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain, and others.
July 1:
Very heavy rain (up to 8 inches) likely in Guna, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Mandla, Balaghat, and Pandhurna. Heavy rain also expected in 26 other districts including Morena, Bhind, Datia, Gwalior, Ashoknagar, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Sehore, Harda, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Betul, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Chhindwara, Anuppur, Shahdol, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Maihar, and Singrauli.
July 2:
Very heavy rain alert for Neemuch, Mandsaur, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat. Heavy rain likely in Sheopur, Shivpuri, Guna, Agar-Malwa, Ujjain, Ratlam, Jhabua, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Katni, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Maihar, Umaria, Shahdol, Dindori, and Anuppur.

Dr. Divya E. Surendran, senior scientist, said a low-pressure area has formed over Gujarat’s Saurashtra-Kutch region, which will affect MP in the next 1–2 days. A cyclonic circulation system is also active. Along with this, a trough (weather line) is passing through many areas of MP, causing heavy rainfall in those regions.
On Saturday, Satna’s Chitrakoot received heavy rainfall, while Sidhi saw over 1.2 inches of rain. Khajuraho and Naugaon in Chhatarpur also recorded more than half an inch of rain. Light rainfall was reported in Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Indore, Bhopal, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Ujjain, Balaghat, Burhanpur, Sehore, Barwani, Dindori, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, and Dewas.
