Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A heartbreaking incident was reported in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district where the bodies of a woman and her two young children were found in a well near their home.
According to information, the incident took place in the village of Jorai in the Bairad police station area on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Pinky Baghel (28), her 4-year-old daughter Ruchika, and her 8-month-old son Anand. All three bodies were found floating in an old well located in front of their house.
Villagers immediately informed the police upon discovering the bodies.
Deceased’s husband was not home during incident
At the time of the incident, Pinky’s husband, Ramniwas Baghel, was not at home. He had gone to perform the religious pooja with his brother-in-law and cousin.
After completing the ritual, he returned to the village at night but stayed at his brother-in-law’s house. He was informed about the tragedy the next morning by a relative.
Bairad Police Station in-charge Ravishankar Kaushal said that a case has been registered and investigations are underway.
The police are examining all possible angles - suicide, accident, or murder. Statements from family members are being recorded, and mobile call records are also being checked.
The bodies have been sent to the Shivpuri district hospital for post-mortem, which is being conducted by a medical panel. Further investigation is ongoing.
