Bhopal/Umaria (Madhya Pradesh): A youth was found dead in a culvert in Madhya Pradesh's Umaria district on Monday. The body was tied up with ropes and covered in blood, indicating that he was brutally murdered.

Villagers spotted the body inside a culvert in the Haganhudi Kherdai, between Dadar and Mardari villages in the district. Stunned, they immediately dialed the police.

Police arrived at the spot and sent the body for post mortem.

The victim has been identified as 25-27 year-old Narayan Baiga. A case has been registered and further investigation into the matter is underway.
