Five Members Of Family Stabbed In MP's Jabalpur Over Phone Charging Dispute

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A violent assault was reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, where five members of a family were stabbed following a petty dispute over phone charging, as reported by police on Saturday.

At present, all five victims are admitted in hospital undergoing treatment and one is said to be in critical condition.

According to information, the incident took place in Azad Nagar Mohariya area under Hanumantal police station in Jabalpur.

According to information, Friday late evening, a youth named Arman, resident of Moharia, went to his neighbour Mohammad Akhbar's house and put his mobile on charge. On Saturday morning when Arman went to take his phone back, he found it broken and lying on the ground.

This made Arman furious and later, an argument erupted between Arman and Mohammad Akbar & his family.

During the argument, Arman's abused Akbar. Arman's family also reached the spot. Arman threw chilli powder on Akbar's nephew Asab and attacked him with a knife.

It is alleged that Arman and Salman first threw chilli powder in the eyes of Asab, Rukhsana, Sohail, Mohammad Akbar and two children and then attacked them with knives.

In self-defense, Asab also attacked Arman and his family members with a knife.

The attack left several soaked in blood. The injured were immediately admitted to Victoria Hospital where the condition of one is said to be critical.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, Hanumantal police station reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

On the complaint of both the parties, a case has been registered against each other under section 307 attempt to murder and 109 BNS.

On the report of Arman's family member Aleem, a case has been registered against Asab and two others, while on the report of Mohammad Akbar, action has been taken against Arman, Salman and Haleem under the same sections. Police investigation revealed that some accused in both the parties are already of criminal nature.
