Congress Councillors Protest Against Delay In Bhopal Municipal Corporation Council Meeting
Congress councillors pointed out that they had written a letter to Commissioner Singh on February 17, urging him to schedule the meeting.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The delay in Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) meeting has sparked protests from Congress councillors.
On Friday, all Congress councillors, led by Leader of Opposition Shabista Zaki, met with Bhopal Commissioner Sanjeev Singh to voice their concerns over the delayed meeting schedule. Zaki emphasised that according to rules, the meeting should be held every two months.
However, it has been over three months since the last meeting on December 13 last year. Despite this, no date has been set for the next meeting, nor has the agenda been announced. Congress councillors pointed out that they had written a letter to Commissioner Singh on February 17, urging him to schedule the meeting.
While the commissioner was instructed to take action, no progress has been made. Councillor Yogendra Singh Guddu Chauhan expressed frustration, stating that this is the second consecutive delay, hindering discussions on crucial city issues.
The delay comes amid Global Investors Summit (GIS) held in Bhopal on February 24-25, which is being cited as the reason for postponing the meeting.
