Collector Reviews Progress Of Ayushman Cards For Elderly, Directs Action For Improvement In Chhatarpur

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A review meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Collector Parth Jaiswal to assess the progress of Ayushman cards for individuals above 70 years of age across Chhatarpur district.

The meeting focused on district-wise and body-wise performance, highlighting poor progress in several areas, including Sukwa, Bagouta, and Dhori Panchayats.

Expressing dissatisfaction, the Collector instructed officials to deploy employment assistants, Anganwadi workers, and other staff to expedite the process in the low-performing regions. He also directed a line list to be prepared, documenting the status of card issuance, including reasons for any delays.

The Collector specifically pointed out the low progress in Peera, Gudhaklaan, and Jyoraha Panchayats under Luvkushnagar and ordered a more effective monitoring strategy. He urged authorities to complete Aadhaar-based KYC for pending applications and emphasized the need to use Aadhaar for future card registrations.

Further, he directed municipalities like Chhatarpur to conduct targeted campaigns, similar to those in Khajuraho, to honor senior citizens and boost card registrations. The progress in Naugaon and other regions was also scrutinized, with actions including proposals for suspension and salary deductions for absentee Ayushman workers.

The Collector concluded by urging officials in Rajnagar, Laudi, Bijawar, and Buxwaha to organize Gram Sabhas and camps to improve the status of Ayushman card distribution for senior citizens.
