Bhopal: PWD Takes Action Against Contractors & Officials

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Public Works Department reviewed the quality of construction of 35 works and took strong action against guilty contractors and officials on Wednesday.

Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation MD Bharat Yadav held the review meeting in presence of senior officials including Engineer in Chief KPS Rana.

A team of seven chief engineers carried out surprise inspection of 35 construction works in Vidisha, Chhindwara, Datia, Indore, Mandsaur, Sagar, Anuppur and other districts recently and submitted inspection report.

At the meeting, construction work of Mahamaya Mandir approach road of Vidisha district was found unsatisfactory. A decision was taken to blacklist contractor of a company and to issue notices to concerned officers.

On detection of irregularity in construction work of Indargarh Padokar Samthar Road in Datia district, one salary increment of sub divisional officer RK Mishra was stopped.

Sub engineer Santosh Sharma has been suspended and one salary increment of Ravikant Saraswat has been stopped. Likewise, decision was taken to issue notice to assistant general manager of Datia on finding unsatisfactory shoulder work.

On long delay in construction of Satya Sai Flyover in Indore district, decision was taken to take action against contractor Ms Narayandas Company.
