Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Hindutva activist Bhanu Hindu (Shubham Arya) slammed 'beef smuggler' and slaughterhouse owner Aslam Chamda during a Hanuman Jayanti procession in Bhopal.

A video of the rally has surfaced on social media on Friday.

In the clip, he says, “Teri chamdi kitni bhi moti ho gayi ho, hum patla kar denge” (No matter how thick your skin has become, we will make it thin).

The procession was taken out in the city to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti, with a large number of devotees joining the rally. People were seen chanting “Jai Bajrangbali” and carrying saffron flags as the procession moved through several areas.

According to organisers, the rally started from the Talaiya area and passed through nearby localities before heading towards Sindhi Colony.

During the event, Bhanu Hindu addressed the gathering from a stage. In the video that later circulated online.

The statement was reportedly directed at Aslam Chamda, who is known locally in Bhopal for running a slaughterhouse.

Chamda has earlier been accused by some groups of involvement in beef smuggling, though there has been no official confirmation of those claims.

In 2018, he also contested the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections from the Bhopal Uttar seat as an independent candidate.

Aslam Chamda, on the other hand, is known in the city as a slaughterhouse owner and has been linked to several controversies in the past related to allegations of beef trade made by some local groups.

The video from the Hanuman Jayanti procession has now been widely shared on social media.
