Sunita provided police with a CCTV footage in which the man is seen mowing down the dog as it was sitting on the street. Footage revealed that the driver did not try to avoid the dog and ran over him as he left the place in vehicle. Sunita said the dog was deliberately crushed to death.
“Atif often used to complaint to me that the dog chews his slippers. Despite being told that it was animal’s habit, Atif was upset and had a grudge against the poor animal. Atif now claims that he did not see the dog on the road, which does not seem possible” Sunita complained. Sub inspector at Shyamla Hills police station RS Kushtwar said further action would be taken following the investigation.
