Bharatiya Janta Party Leaders Pay Tributes To Senior Leader Kailash Joshi On His Birth Anniversary

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief minister Mohan Yadav, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar and others paid tributes to former chief minister and BJP senior leader Kailash Joshi on his birth anniversary at a programme in Vidhan Sabha on Monday.

Chief minister Mohan Yadav, while addressing virtually, said, “Kailash Joshi worked hard to strengthen Jan Sangh and BJP from tribal areas like Bagli since independence and made an unprecedented contribution to the development of Madhya Pradesh. He made his mark as an effective MLA.”

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar said that the identity of Jan Sangh was that of sacrifice and honesty. “Kailash Joshi has set new standards of sacrifice and honesty through his conduct and behavior,” he added.

State BJP president and MLA Hemant Khandelwal said, “if anyone has left an indelible mark in Madhya Pradesh politics with his personality and conduct, then it is Kailash Joshi after Kushabhau Thakre.”

Ministers Kailash Vijayvargiya, Rakesh Singh, Prahlad Patel and former minister Dr Narottam Mishra, state incharge Dr Mahendra Singh also addressed the function.

HC to hear promotion policy case today

The state government will submit its reply before the High Court on Tuesday in connection with the ongoing case related to the promotion policy for government employees. The government is expected to submit a comparative analysis of the previous and the current promotion policy rules.

During the last hearing, the court had asked the government to clarify the difference between the old and new promotion policy rules but the government could not give a satisfactory reply.  

Notably, a related petition pertaining to government staffers’ promotion is pending before the Supreme Court. In light of this, the High Court had asked that when a matter related to promotion was already pending in the apex court, why has the government come up with new rules.
