After Dispute, Man Commits Suicide In MP, His Wife In UP

Satna (Madhya Pradesh): A man and his wife from Satna committed suicide at two different places after a familial discord, the police said on Tuesday. 

The wife committed suicide by hanging herself in UP, and the man hanged himself from a branch of a tree in Satna.

The incident came to light on Monday when the body of the man was found hanging from the branch of a tree at the Sati Anusuya Square.

The police brought down the body and searched it. An identity card, found in his pocket, indicated that he was 52-year-old Ramjanak Yadav. He was a resident of the Gobriya Bujurg area under the Bharatkoop police station, Chitrakoot, UP.

When the police contacted his family members, they came to know that his wife, 50-year-old Rajpati Yadav, also committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of a cowshed in her house.

After he was informed about the suicide of his wife, he went out of his home on a bike and did not return.

The couple had two daughters. The postmortem of the body of the woman was done in Chitrakoot, and that of the man in Satna.
