55-Year-Old Dies After Speeding Truck Hits Bike In MP's Ashoknagar; Wife, Grandson Injured

Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh): A 55-year-old man died and two others were injured after a speeding truck hit their bike in Ashoknagar on Wednesday.
The accident occurred near Bahadurpur on Monday. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident, leaving the vehicle behind.
Police are investigating the incident.

The man, identified as Rameshwar Dayal Srivastava, was returning from Mungaoli along with his wife, Guddi Bai, and 7-year-old grandson, Kavyansh. They had gone there to help with setting up a wedding tent. On their way back, a fast-moving truck collided with their bike near Bahadurpur, causing all three to fall to the ground.
Locals rushed the injured to Bahadurpur hospital. Later, they were referred to the district hospital, where Rameshwar Dayal died during treatment.
Due to his serious injuries, Kavyansh was referred to a hospital in Bhopal for better treatment and care.
Doctors at the district hospital said his condition needed advanced medical attention, which is why he was sent to Bhopal.
Meanwhile, Guddi Bai is still admitted at the district hospital, where she is being treated for her injuries.
Her condition is said to be stable, and doctors are keeping a close watch.
The body was handed over to the family after postmortem. Police are looking for the absconding truck driver.
