43-Year-Old Narrowly Escapes Death As Family Performs Tantrik Ritual Outside Emergency Ward After Snakebite In MP's Katni (Watch Video)

Katni (Madhya Pradesh): A 43-year-old man narrowly escaped death after a snakebite, as his family followed tantrik chanting rituals for an hour at hospital gate in Katni on Wednesday.

The entire incident was recorded on video, in which the man can be seen sitting while a family member rolls a phone over him, playing a tantrik’s chants.

According to information, his family delayed medical treatment and instead tried spiritual healing at the hospital gate.

The incident happened in Jugiya Kamp village under the NKJ police station area.

Ajgar Khan, who was working in the fields, was bitten by a snake. His family quickly took him to the district hospital. However, instead of going inside for treatment, they stopped at the hospital gate and contacted a tantrik (spiritual healer) over the phone.

Following the tantrik’s instructions, they placed the phone near the victim’s ear and rolled it over his hand, performing rituals and chanting mantras.

This superstitious act went on for nearly an hour outside the emergency ward. Meanwhile, Ajgar’s condition started to worsen.

People at the hospital noticed the situation and convinced the family to admit him.

Doctors immediately began treatment, and his condition slowly improved. Dr. Saurabh Namdev, who was on duty, said that Ajgar was in a serious state, but quick treatment helped save his life.

The doctor also warned that snakebite cases increase during the monsoon, and any delay caused by superstition can be deadly.

Snake venom spreads quickly in the body, and proper medical treatment is the only solution.

Ajgar’s friend, Shaheed Khan, said they had tied a cloth around the wound and brought him to the hospital, adding that they tried every method hoping for relief.

Doctors have appealed to the public not to waste time in such cases and to rush directly to the nearest hospital. Superstitious rituals can cost lives.
