Maruti Suzuki eVitara Teased Ahead of Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 Debut |
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara has been spotted on Indian roads ahead of its much-anticipated debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo, offering a first look at its interior. Leaked images show a premium cabin featuring a two-spoke steering wheel and dual integrated screens, complemented by a two-tone theme and a redesigned dashboard that enhances its upscale appeal.
The e-SUV, which has already made its global debut, is packed with advanced features such as ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display, and a wireless phone charger. It remains uncertain, however, whether these features will be available in the India-spec model.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, which first debuted as the eVX concept, has undergone a few design changes for its production version while keeping its signature elements intact. It continues to feature squared-off wheel arches, sharp headlights with Y-shaped LED accents, and a sloping roofline.
However, the production model introduces a new, more aggressive bumper with stronger creases, bold lines, and lower air intakes, along with fog lamps placed at the bottom. The sleek flush door handles from the concept have been replaced with pull-style handles on the front doors, while the rear doors now sport handles fixed to the pillars, giving the e-Vitara a fresh and refined look.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is built on a new skateboard platform developed in collaboration with Toyota. Internationally, the SUV offers two battery options: a 49kWh pack for the two-wheel-drive version and a 61kWh pack available with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations.
While the specifics of the India-bound e-Vitara remain unclear, the model is expected to come equipped with advanced safety features, including six standard airbags, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). These features aim to enhance safety and driving assistance for the e-Vitara’s future customers.
