Rawalpindi: Anti-Israel Protestors in Pakistan's Rawalpindi stormed into and vandalised a KFC outlet packed with customers in the Rawalpindi Military Garrison town on Sunday (April 13). A group of protestors also harassed the customers and shouted slogans inside the KFC.
The police on Monday said they had traced the miscreants involved in vandalising the international fast food outlet in Rawalpindi’s Saddar area. The police tracked the miscreants through CCTV footage and have assured swift action into the matter. A video clip of the incident is making rounds on the internet.
In the viral video, some men can be seen abusing customers and vandalising the restaurant, asking customers to leave. People can be seen fleeing the spot in fear. Palistine's flag can also be spotted in the video.

According to the first information report (FIR) filed by the manager of the KFC Saddar branch, a group of 10–12 armed men stormed the premises around 8:30 pm on Sunday,13 April, harassed customers, and shouted slogans. “When we tried to stop them, they hurled abuses and threatened to kill us,” the complainant stated.
Reason For Protest?
KFC and other US brands are being boycotted in Pakistan, Bangladesh and some regions due to perceived links to Israel and the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

A similar incident took place in neighbouring Bangladesh, over the same issue. Here, outlets of international brands such as Bata, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Puma, perceived by the agitators as having ties to Israel, were vandalised and plundered.
