An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 on the Richter Scale rocked Pakistan at 1.26 pm IST, according to National Center for Seismology (NCS). This is the third Earthquake in two weeks in Pakistan and 5th in a month. Earlier last Monday (5 May 2025) and Saturday (10 May) an earthquake of almost significant magnitude was felt. As per the NCS, the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km, making it susceptible to aftershocks.
People rushed out of their homes after feeling the earthquake tremors. However, there are no reports of life and property.
Pakistan regularly experiences earthquakes of different strengths due to its location in a seismically active region. The country's most devastating earthquake occurred in 2005, claiming over 74,000 lives.
