When someone you love is suffering, you'll do anything to ease their pain—even when they ask you to stop.
That’s what happened when Deng faced when his wife, Ye Meidi, battling cancer and slipping into a coma, asked him not to continue her expensive treatment. She feared the financial burden was too much for their young family. But Deng couldn’t walk away.

Instead, he chose to stay and pour more love. As Ye fell unconscious, Deng became her full-time caregiver. He resigned from his job to be by her side, dedicating himself fully to her recovery.
Every day, he sang to her, danced in front of her bed, and created moments filled with warmth and love. His devotion wasn’t just an act of care—it was an act of defiance against despair. He strongly supported her rehabilitation.
According to SCMP, she was diagnosed with glioma, a type of brain tumour with a more than 90 percent recurrence rate.

And one day, as their daughter Hanhan gently kissed Ye on the cheek, Deng captured the moment on video and shared it online. That quiet, emotional scene touched hearts across the internet—going viral and drawing waves of support and donations from netizens.
Deng and Ye met in 2016 at a friend’s wedding. They fell in love and welcomed their daughter in 2021. But just a year later, cancer changed everything.
Even as medical bills and healthcare charges climbed past two million yuan (Rs. 2,36,75,060), Deng held on not just to his wife, but to hope. And slowly, his devotion began to help Ye recover.
