Indian and Punjab Kings' leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal's ex-wife Dhanashree Varma was spotted at Mumbai Airport just when the match against the Kolkata Knight Riders was being played on a television screen at the background. Keeping in mind the two having been divorced recently, fans reacted by claiming how perfect was the timing.

The wrist-spinner had married Dhanashree in December 2020 in Gurgaon; however, the couple was divorced in March 2025. On March 20, the couple arrived at Bandra court for hearing of their divorced case. The divorce case was marred by controversies over reports claiming that Dhanashree had demanded an alimony of ₹60 crore from Chahal; however, her family had strongly denied those rumours.

The aforementioned match was when Chahal destroyed the Knight Riders' batting unit as Punjab Kings stunned the defending champions, defeating them by 16 runs while defending 111. Kolkata were humiliated as the 35-year-old claimed four wickets to bowl them out for 95.
Yuzvendra Chahal added two more wickets to his tally against Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Meanwhile, the Haryana-born cricketer was equally outstanding during the clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium which Punjab Kings won by five wickets. He took figures of 3-0-11-2 as Punjab won the rain-curtailed game with 11 balls to spare.
Punjab Kings' next IPL 2025 game is also against RCB on April 20, Sunday in Mullanpur.
