Gujarat Titans' skipper Shubman Gill was left amazed as Sherfane Rutherford clattered a monstrous six off Marcus Stoinis' bowling in the IPL 2025 game against the Punjab Kings on Tuesday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gill, who was sitting at the dugout, placed his hand on his head and let out a smile as a video of the same surfaced on social media.

The moment occurred in the 14th over of the innings as Stoinis sent down a short-pitched delivery and the West Indian all-rounder got into position quickly to play a pull shot, sending it over the boundary. The cameras immediately panned to Gill and the right-handed batter let out a wide smile.

Chasing an imposing 244 in 20 overs in Ahmedabad, Gill played a useful hand of 33 off 14 deliveries with two fours and three sixes. Along with B Sai Sudharsan, the skipper stitched a 61-run partnership in 5.5 overs before Glenn Maxwell dismissed him.

Meanwhile, Titans skipper Shubman Gill had earlier won the toss and opted to bowl first at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad against the Punjab Kings in what is the first match of the season for both teams. Citing the dew factor, Gill opted to bowl first as Shreyas Iyer also wanted to do the same.
