Cyrus Aga and Chetan Mulani recorded contrasting victories in their respective first-round qualifying matches of the CCI Snooker Classic 2025, an all-India tournament, played at the CCI’s Wilson Jones billiards hall on Wednesday.
Playing with plenty of grit and determination Aga snatched the deciding fifth frame to quash the spirited challenge from Ashish Gore clinching a deserving 3-2 (56-40, 67-43, 68-83, 52-59, and 65-21) victory to progress to the second round.
In contrast, Mulani had things his way and outplayed Vijay Lilwa romping to a 3-0 (60-17, 45-5, and 63-28) win to advance to the next round.
Meanwhile, CCI billiards marker Santosh Abnave also booked a second-round berth by defeating Lavin Lekhraj 3-1 (72-30, 67-23, 39-56, and 59-54) in another first-round clash.
