India is set to face Australia in the second Test at Adelaide starting December 6, a much-anticipated pink-ball, day-night match. After a massive 295-run victory in Perth, excitement among fans is at an all-time high, with Day 1 tickets already sold out for the 53,500-capacity Adelaide Oval.
India and Australia are set to clash in an eagerly anticipated day-night test match, with the hosts holding a strong record in day-night encounters. Australia has won 11 out of 12 pink-ball Tests, showcasing their dominance in this format.
In contrast, India has played only four such matches, winning three and losing one — their sole defeat coming against Australia during the 2020-21 series. Notably, India recorded their lowest-ever Test score of 36 in that match, played at the same venue.
Australia’s dominance in pink-ball Tests was bruised earlier this year when they lost to the West Indies in Brisbane. This sets the stage for a thrilling contest, with both teams boasting world-class players ready to ignite the series.
With the stakes high and conditions favoring the bowlers, fans can expect an electrifying clash between these cricketing giants.
Price of tickets for Adelaide Test
Test cricket in Australia has seen a significant rise in ticket prices this year, driven by the government’s efforts to promote tourism through sports. Compared to the 2018-19 series, ticket prices have increased by 5.5 times, reflecting the growing anticipation for marquee events like the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, now considered one of the most awaited cricket series of the decade.
The Adelaide test match tickets are a sell out with the cheap ticket pricing at AUD 22.50 (₹1,227) similar rates apply on rest of the four days as well . The premium tickets are priced at $250 per day (₹13,632)
