79th Western India Slam, PSA Challenger: Malaysian Ameeshenraj Chandaran And Anahat Singh Emerge Champions
Both conquer top seeds to clinch the PSA Challenger squash titles

The top seeds Viktor Byrtus and Akanksha Salukkhe fell by the wayside losing in the men’s and women’s finals of the 79th Western India Slam, a USD 9,000 prize-money Professional Squash Association (PSA) Challenger event and played at the CCI courts on Sunday.
Second seed Malaysian Ameeshenraj Chandaran defeated the number one seed Viktor Byrtus of the Czech Republic 3-1 (15-13, 6-11, 11-5, and 11-3) in a grueling 60 minute encounter.
Earlier, defending champion and India’s firm favourite the second seed Anahat Singh asserted her dominance to tame top seeded compatriot Akanksha Salunkhe 3-0 (11-8, 11-8, 11-8) in just 25 minutes.
Results – Men (finals): 2-Ameeshenraj Chandaran (MAS) bt. 1-Viktor Byrtus (CZE) 3-1 (15-13, 6-11, 11-5, 11-3).
