Earlier on Wednesday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the Pandharpur temple and performed a puja there along with a Warkari couple.
The CM performed the puja along with his wife Lata Shinde. This year, reportedly, Warkari couple Balu Ahire and Ashabai, hailing from Nashik, performed the ritual alongside CM Shinde. The Maha CM prayed to Lord Vitthal for abundant rain in the state that would help farmers, a statement from Shinde's office noted.
