VIDEO: Two Women Arrested For Stealing Gold Chain From Child At Dagdusheth Temple, Caught On CCTV

Two women were arrested on Sunday for stealing a gold chain from a child waiting with his mother for Ganpati Darshan at Dagdusheth Halwai Temple in Pune.

The accused have been identified as Madhuri Santosh Dukale (23) and Kavya Tanveer Jadhav (21), both residents near the railway station.

According to the police, the victim, Sonali Borate, was carrying her son in the temple area and was in line to enter for Darshan when the duo stole the gold chain from the child. She immediately noticed and raised an alarm. People nearby confronted the accused, and they were handed over to the police.

Speaking to Free Press Journal, Vijaymala Pawar, Senior Police Inspector (Vishram Baugh Police Station), said, "The incident took place on Sunday in a very crowded area. Taking advantage of the situation, the duo committed the crime. They are habitual offenders. Furthermore, the matter is under investigation."

A case has been registered under the relevant sections of BNS at Vishram Baugh Police Station.
