Pune Viral Video: Leopard Attacks Sleeping Pet Dog While Owner Remains Engrossed In Phone

Pune has recently seen a spike in deadly leopard attacks with rising human encroachment on animal habitats. One such scary video has gone viral on social media.

In the video, a leopard is seen walking slowly and then, after spotting a dog, attacking it in the courtyard of a house while the owner remains engrossed in his phone lying down on a cot next to his pet.

As the leopard attacked the dog, the owner quickly got up, narrowly escaping certain death. He screamed and woke up the entire household and the neighbours. By that time, the leopard had fled.

According to reports, the incident took place Sunday at around 3:30am in Degaon village in Bhor taluka. The pet owner has been identified as Jayanand Kale.

Meanwhile, residents have asked the Forest Department to take immediate action as such incidents have become very frequent. They want officials to set up traps and take other steps to manage the leopard population and stop future attacks.
