In a heartfelt ceremony to honor the tireless efforts of healthcare workers, the Florence Light Single Award was presented to Yogita Damse by the Pune City Patient Service Committee on the occasion of World Nurses Day. The award was handed over by Pune Municipal Corporation's Deputy Health Chief Dr. Kalpana Balwant, along with senior entrepreneur Krishnakumar Goyal.

The Patient Service Committee has been awarding the Florence Light Single Award for the last 33 years, recognizing the compassionate efforts of nurses on World Nurses Day. This year, nurses from Pune City District Hospital were honored for their charitable care of patients, a vital service that often goes unnoticed.
Yogita Rambhau Damse of Pashan Hospital was one of the key honorees. Additionally, 11 nurses from various hospitals were recognized for their exceptional service, including Nanda Misal, Sangeeta Thombre, Rupali Mudge, Alija Beg Pillay, Archana Rajguru, Kanta Maral, Nirmala Pulkamwar, Pratiksha Kamble, Hemangi Gaikwad, Prabha Pillay, and Kalpana Chopde, who were each awarded with bouquets of medals for their dedication.
The event, chaired by Rajendra Bhutada, also saw the participation of several activists and community members. Special guests included Indrajit Bhalerao, Prashant Teke, Vishal Jadhav, Anil Bhise, Akhil Mogal, Anwar Sheikh, Ganesh Sarwan, Subhash Nimkar, Shrikant Jagtap, Baba Tamboli, Nilesh More, Sandeep Bhise, Vitthal Arude, Aditya Oval, Vijay Sarode, Ajit There, Vinod Sonawane, Santosh Dighe, Vijay Sonigra.
The event was made possible thanks to the efforts of Mahila Aghadi activists, including Jyotitai Pardeshi, Manisha Oval, Chanda Angir, Maya More, Reshma Kamble, Akhtari Sheikh, Shubhangi Naik, Radhika Bhalerao, Renuka Jogdand, and others.
The ceremony was warmly welcomed by Prashant Teke, introduced by Vishal Jadhav, and moderated by Indrajit Bhalerao, with votes cast by Anil Bhise.
